Question So I'm riding to work last night...

...trying to calculate fuel mileage (My 500 gets 50 mpg. The gas station is 10 miles away, the gas can for my law mower had more than a 1/5 of a gallon in it, right? Yeah, I'll make it...) when I notice lightning off in the distance.(the way I'm heading...) I'm on the interstate. I come over this hill and the road is flat. Basically a big field. Now, what kind of a lightning rod am I? I've never really heard anyone talk about the dangers of riding in a lightning storm. I was wondering if the action of the bike and myself moving through the air is causing any sort of "static charge". Thus making me a bigger target. I don't know enough science to know if my theory is realistic. I just got to thinking...

Jankster, I think it works like this, If it is you, then you make a great lighting rod and would probably get struck for sure.. If it is someone else there is no way they would get hit, Murphys Law always works...
