Okay, I've pretty much got the green light to go this year and most likely going solo. What's the word on things like packages? Complete packages, ticket packages, things to look into, things to avoid, etc? I'll probably just make along weekend out of it, like a Thurs - Mon type thing. Just looking for some sound advice before I dip my feet...

Corner 9 Club is the way to go. A/C pavilion with food and open bar all day Fri-Sun, reserved seating area with great views, premium parking, it just makes the whole event easy and comfortable. Pit passes included as well. I think it was around $600/person when we did it a few years ago. Money well spent.

As a vendor, we were allowed into the Corner 9 club and I would say it is totally worth it. The AC alone is worth it.

Definitely stay downtown. Having only been to Laguna prior to Indy, I was kind of surprised about the surrounding area (depressed). But the race itself was fun and I think you will have a great time. Earl and Rose Hayden are normally around the Hayden Bros. merchandise area and a hoot to talk to. Have fun!

That was my logic too, I got my moneys worth in cocktails...food was actually good, and the pit pass was bonus. Met a ton of riders including Super Sic, Kevin Schwantz, Spies...
