    Insurance is so whacked.

I have Progressive for my SV650, and Geico for my Ford Focus.

Right now I pay $900 for the bike and $1100 for the car.

Progressive said I could get a 5% discount on the bike policy if I switch the car over...

So I called them and they quoted me $2400/yr for the car! And I have lojack and everything on the car. Friggin ridiculous! When I was 20 and driving a V8 Mustang and living in Boston I didn't pay that much!

I can understand the weirdness with bike insurance but this is just whacked that once company would cost double what another one would for a cheap car.

I hope in 2 months progressive doesn't send me a letter saying my bike insurance has been raised to $2000/yr or something. I think I will have to sell it if I can't continue to get a rate under $1000 for it.

Ben.... I have GREAT rates for New Hampshire. I can also always help out a friend.

Give me a call if yer interested, I'll see if I can quote cha up something better. (800)843-7502 x305. If I don't answer my line, dial "0" and have someone let me know you're on hold, I never answer, I'm usually on here and return calls when I feel like it...

I'm license in Maine. I don't represent as many companies but I can still be competitive. More than welcome to call, if I can do something to help ya out I'd be more than happy to. PS- I DON'T work on commission, so you won't get a high-pressure sales pitch from me.

BTW...Who would want to live in Maine anyway?

Holy shit! Move north, young man! Do I even dare tell ya what I pay for insurance? Okay!

    Y2K TL-R *YEAR ROUND* $440/yr.

My big truck is insured for $30K/replacement value, and that runs me about $350/yr

And don't gimme any shit about "I can't commute, blah, blah, blah" I commute 500 miles/week. You'll get used to it!

I would love to be paying those rates. Right now I'm paying $3K a year for my 00 Eclipse. As for my bike I belive its around $1K a year. Mass insurance laws suck ass. And to all of you wth sub 1K a year insurance, .

It's $359 cause that's the ACV... Actual Cash Value of a 2001 Daytona. The company could replace your bike for the amount you pay in premium each year, bwaa ha.
