Integrated tail lights

has anybody had any problems with the 5.0 for having only integrated blinkers? i dont want to waste the money if i am going to get harrased for them. if it is truly ligit then is there someone out there who wants to volunteer to help me switch out the boards on my r1? will provide food and beer or whatever you want.

cops haven't said anything about mine, although i DO install the stock signals when going for inspection.

an inspection place told me they were ok but the small one were not

540 CMR 4.06: "Rear turn signals shall be red or amber mounted on each side of the vertical center line at the same height and having a minimum horizontal separation distance (measured from center of lamps) of 9 inches"


Get the ruler out... if closer then 9 inches then technically not legit...

Mine have been fine so far man, and I had them inspected by some Harley shop who didn't even give a shit.

I used to have them on the RC and never had any issues with the LEO's or inspections. I did have an issue blowing the bulbs a lot so I removed the integrated set up.

I just ordered a brand new design for an LED with integrated amber directionals built in! So I am returning to the set up with a new and improved set up! Cant wait to get it.

If your interested in high visability and a very good product go with an LED set up! I ordered mine Friday as soon as I hear it was available for my bike!

Ya in all honesty I doubt many LEO's would even know it's illegal let alone write you for it... Wich is why I said "technically" not legit... and obviously the inspection shops don't read the guidelines...

It's one of the things I like to save for when someone is an ass... I break out the fresh pen Those things can add up

I hope if and when you get me in your town your in a good mood like the Young officer that nabbed our group Saturday in NH! We were super curtious and he was super cool ! Told us as long as our records were clean we were free to go - free and clear! He ended up chatting with us for a bit after he said we were all set! We were only about 15 over the posted! Of coarse thats after we jammed our brakes on.. We missed the sign that said 35, we were sure it was a 40 or 45.. Luckily for us he was Cool!

No worries... Respect if given at the same level it is received... that standard has worked well for me so far

Couple of our guys nabbed a group of what sounded like squids the other day... wheelies... revoked insurance... racing etc... and the only guy that got a ticket was the revoked I believe... goes to show you that respect can be mutual.

intergrater kits can be pricey. for a cheap one get a trailer lighting kit.

The new bike I'm getting already has an LED set up, but not intergrated signals.. I'll have to fix that...

well doesn anyone have a dremmel tool with a small cutting weal they want to loan me so i can seperate the tail light?

I have both intergrated taillights/directionals and also the directionals on my undertail. I have never been bothered by anyone. The inspection place thought it looked cool.
