having some issues and need help

I gave this guy my bike parts over a month ago. He said he would be done in a few weeks, now he will not return my phone calls and emails. I stopped by his house yesterday and spoke to his wife and left my number and message to call me. Still not a fucking word.

Anyone know him? I'm going to the Police Monday if I don't hear from him.

Wow that sucks! I don't know him but I was trying to get a price from him back on 6/2. Every two weeks I would send him another message to see if he had a quote for me and every time he would say he'd get back to me. I finally gave up and decided not to use him even if he did get back to me with a price. Sorry you're having such a hard time with him and hopefully you get it all straightened out soon.

Some people just suck at doing business, best of intentions and skill, just busy/procrastinating.

If you spoke to his wife (assuming they are not divorced), then I would give it 3 business days for a return phone call. Then you do what you have to.

As stated above... some people do have the best intentions but totally suck at biz/people skills.

Looks like he's only 22... maybe a little immature.

Definitely call him again and state your intentions of calling LE. I know you're upset and want your parts... but be calm on the phone. I have experience with handling difficult/irrate people. It's all about not dropping down to their level.

+1 he did DaSarge's gas tank quickly, and even did a delivery service. work came out great too. i wouldnt jumo to conclusions just yet. i'm sure something came up.

The deal is he is not returning any of my calls or emails. It's been two weeks. I think he is still at home, his bike was there and she said he should be home after 6:00. I'm scared shitless the parts are gone, i can not replace them...

A phone call or quick email only takes a few seconds when you are holding someone elses stuff!
What if you left your car at your local mechanics to get sum work done and waited a couple months and no replies, and you need your car back? Are you gunna put up with it? Business is business, and he came on here peddling his business. It dont matter!

Cops will hear complaint but do nothing

They will consider it a civil not criminal court matter.

If you want the cops involved you have to have him attack you physically.....actually they wouldn't give a shit about that either, get him to speed past your house so they can write a ticket

Jake is a nice guy.

He did some stuff for me on a tight schedule, it didn't come out the best (whatever, racebike) but he went out of his way to get it done in time and meet me with it at an inconvenience to him...

Not making excuses for him but he has a full plate right now (job, kids, wife troubles, overtime, etc) I'm sure he would appreciate any patience or benefit of the doubt you could give him...

edit: That being said, a big pet peeve of mine is people not communicating... if he's got a lot of shit going on that's fine but IMO a phone call is common courtesy...
