I ordered some boots last week from sportbiketrackgear.com and they have arrived. I originally ordered the model below these in black but heres what Brian sent me.
Oxtar EVO RX Jake Zemke Replica Boots
My first thought putting them on was FUCK! I spent how much on these and I cant get my damn foot in them. They are a bitch to get one but ones they are one they felt great. Ya they arent the black ones but they have more vents and an inner lace system. Luckily I do have white and red on my leathers so its not a complete mismatch. I cant wait to try them on the bike.
A couple of other things arrived as well. I got a bohn back protector. Its nice Ill just have to get used to it. I can get photos later if anyone wants. Also and unexpected was a set of CRG short levers in gold. A little bling for the bike and I wanted to try the shorties since I already have the standards.
Those boots rock!
Do yourself a favor ... go to Walgreens and get Dr. Scholls Orthotic inserts. (these are the hard arch supports, not
that stupid gel crap.) You maintain the feel of the pegs and
your feet will thank you cause of that flat hard sole.
I got the model below these ... the black and silver accented ones.
Going on two years and holding up strong!
How do arch supports help? Shouldnt you be up on the balls of your feet on the pegs?![]()
Nice lookin boots.![]()
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
I ordered the same ones you have. That is what I was expecting. The black boots. When I opened the box Brian sent the ones I have now. I tried calling him to let him know but hes busy right now. Bascially I paid for the model you have and got a free upgrade as of right now.Originally posted by Currently

When riding, I am on the balls of my feet.
It is every other time that the boot is on that those supports
come in handy. The sole is hard flat leather and your arches
get real tired quickly. With those inserts in, I can wear the
boots all day and get on the bike and not lose any of that
good "peg feel" the boots give you.
That gel crap actually interferes with the "peg feel"
I would keep them and say thanky.Originally posted by union

Those are more vented than mine so your feet will be very
comfy in the summer and also cool evenings if you have good
socks.
Don't ride in the rain ... your feet will get very wet!
You may want to consider those thin waterproof booties
that go over the boot.
Always liked the look of that boot stick with the white. Nice Boot Bud.![]()

Ya Ill probably end up keeping these with no extra charge to me. I did let Brian know through email since I cant get him on the phone. Its the least I could do since he has been very good to me every time Ive delt with him. Its the least I can do since I will buy from him in the future and I want to continue to get good deals from him.Originally posted by Currently

I avoid the rain if Im on the street. I tell people I ride because I want to not because I have to. If it rains on a track day then thats a different story. I might have to try those waterproof booties but its even going to be harder to get these things on.
Hey as least people will see your feet at night. Look nice.
Oh, I'm flat footed, guess thats why I never noticed.Originally posted by Currently

Well if for some reason you decide you don't like them I ride with the SIDI vertigo's and I like them a lot.

Ya i have these myself real nice boot,...i like the fact if something breaks just screw it off and order a new one and screw it back on. I have to say even out of the box these boots are really comfortable, plus i like the ratcheting system on the back to tighten down around the calf. I have chicken legs so these are perfect for me.Originally posted by BadBoyBilly

I did try it on today under my leathers. It felt good for the fit. Obviously I havent ridden it yet but when I get up tomorrow I might head over to the garage and get on the bike with the new stuff on just to get a feel. I got a small which I think is for 5'9 and under. I dont recall how tall you were but like just about everyone else you were taller then me. Ill let you try it out if it will fit. At least then you can get a feel for it.Originally posted by smf
