New Jersey Motor Park Theft Sept 21, 2009

Some where between 11PM Monday night and 7:30 Tuesday night My son and I had a 2009 Ducati Bayliss edition (21) and a 2010 Ducati Heyden editon (69) stolen from the NJMP garage. The investigation is in progress but hampered by the lack of security at the track. Today they have no cameras in service anywhere in the park. Since we know the window the bikes most likely went out the gate we could have limited the vehicles to be investigated. None of the garages get locked or secured.

I talked to the General Manager of the park and he was concerned with the theft and assured us the park would have security cameras in place before the end of the season. It is to late to help us but may help serve as a deterent to future thefts.

If anyone has any information please let me know.

    wow
    best of luck...

You wont be able to hide those bikes or try to sell them or their parts online without people noticing...check craigslist and ebay and stuff in the near future and see what turns up

This is unbelievable. My bike wasn't even in the garage. It was just sitting right out front a few hundred feet away. I hope you are able to narrow it down based on the window. Was there a camera at the front gate at least?

A couple of things to think about:

    1. Whoever did it bought into the track day. Otherwise they wouldn't have known the bikes were there. Its not like somebody snuck in and took off with them. I would also say that its more likely that it was someone from down there as someone up where would have a long way to haul 2 stolen bikes. Most people barely have enough room for their own bike!

    2. It had to be somebody who knew where they were parked. Either someone in the same area, or someone intentionally followed you around to find where you parked. Did you see anything suspicious in regards to people following you?

    3. When they took them, them likely didn't just roll a trailer up and load the bikes in. They probably had to wheel them off to a more discreet area to load them. Did anyone check around the facility for unusual tire tracks? My guess would be the camping area which would have been otherwise empty and possibly a straight shot through the woods from the garages.

    4. Whoever has them has a problem. There is no way they can unload them as a whole bike. They are too unique. Unless they are total dopes they will sell the plastics seperately from the metal components. Possibly sell the plastics to buy regular plastics then sell the whole bike as a non-special edition. Look for people selling the plastics!!!!

Just sort of brainstorming here. Hope you find them!!!!!

background check of every employee working that shift especially the ones working the front gates. car with trailer that left that morning would be the culprit (i'm assuming the the theft took place in the early morning hours) since most cars attending the trackday would unhitch their trailers & leave the track to grab something to eat to conserve gas, weight, hotel, etc. list of attendees at the trackday & background check on them also. make sure the cops up there does these two things at the very minimum. i'm sure everyone on nesr can vouch for the ttd employees & i wouldnt even bother accusing any of them
