Jester Exhaust came from England a few weeks early!

I was happy to get my exhaust this saturday! The RC8R is far too quiet stock.

I believe these are hand made to order! Ordered mine april 15th, shipped May 15th, got it June 3rd.

The plastics are quite easy to take off with all the bolts the same size and no clips/pushbuttons.

Plenty of access to the underside exhaust

pretty massive difference in size and weight!!

Well designed kit, dropped in easy, though the exhaust strap doesn't fit very tight.

Tried to flash the tune on with the cables I ordered weeks ago, but turns out you can't flash maps over bluetooth, dammit. new cable should be here later this week,

Bike sounds great though, and quite loud. There's no hiding that it is a 1200 twin!!!

Also changed the fuel map to 98 ROZ (93 RON).

Of course it is going to rain the entire rest of the week so I can't ride it....

The only thing I have left to do is some levers!

I didn't weigh them unfortunately, but there isn't much to the new one, and the stocker is quite heavy.

Ill have to get a sound clip, though it never translates well. I can't wait to take it for a rip!

Sorry for the bullshit, I was just trying to avoid editing. I should just go hit record and twist it and upload it.

Well, I gave it a shot, and it forced it into youtube shorts anyway, must be due to the short length?

Either way, my ears are ringing after this one!

sounds awesome. not as nasty as i thought it would be, sounds very refined/smooth ... now to find a loooong tunnel and smile so hard you crack earlobes.

    ---

god i miss riding through tunnels with my old XB12S w/ Drummer exhaust on it. DEEEEP BASSSS. easily set off car alarms at the right distance. so fun.

Its louder in person. RC51 still sounds way better though.

That's what I liked about it. Deep, rumbly but sounds tuned and clean.

Degsy has Sato Bonsai's on his RC51. Sounds amazing, but after about an hour of riding behind him I'm ready to take the lead.

My M4's really bark. They arent a common exhaust, but they are the best I have heard on an RC.

I think the jester may be a little loud... I do have the insert, but that just makes it slightly quieter and sound crappy.

Hmmm, i have the program and the 0334 fule all squared away, but cant move maps. I first tried a bluetooth obd adapter, then learned you cant move maps with bluetooth. Ordred a usb obd adapter and a usb yo usb c adapter and tried my phone again. It detects usb in tuneecu, but wont connect to the ecu. This has been a pain!

Re: Jester Exhaust came from England a few weeks early!

Just throwing this out there, depending on the USB cable specs, is there a chance the USB cable/adapters you are using ONLY allow power & NOT data transfer.. May explain why it detects but won't connect

Or perhaps you've already verified that, in which case..... Good luck with the trouble shooting.

Hope you at least get to enjoy some riding this weekend

Hm, TuneECU ONLY works with a bluetooth odb for my bike… Which one did you get? I’ve heard of some not working well. This one works well for me and know others who have used it too:
