Kold Kutters: screws for ice riding...any good?

Ashfield Lake is almost 5" thick and I have a bag of (only) 250 Kold Kutter screws. Are these things worth screwing into my knobbies for a leisurely ride around the lake? And how many is required?

I have set of tires full of screws you can have. They are OK for riding. They just pullout easy if you start pushing hard.
