Is there a reason there is an exchange?

I have two Kryptonite locks with this style key.

It's because you can open the lock with a bic pen.

Mike those are the locks that can be picked with a bic pen.

There was also a " Kryptonite U-Lock Class Action Settlement" in which they have to replace all of this style for free because of the problem with the "bic pen" keys. Registered both of mine with them just waiting for the e-mail with the ups return pre-paid label to print up so I can box them and send them out.

May take a bit to get it as I'm sure that they are swamped from this.

Argg... I'm going to have to send my disc lock, and my 8' cable lock.. I'll have to look into this more later.. Hopefully it will not be a painfull process.

I exchanged my disc lock a while back. Don't expect to get the same color as you had on your old lock....provided I do like the new color better.
