I always take the double and a banked vacation day. So I worked 9 hours, got paid 18 and have 9 hours of vacation time to use when everyone else is working. Win, Win, WIN.

This year I had 32 vacation days.

I worked 7 hours yesterday for straight time (negotiated rate because I'm salaried) but will get paid for 16 since I'm entitled to 9 hours for the holiday itself.

I would like to thank the Department of Defense for setting up rules that allow exempt salaried employees to earn overtime.

Things have come a long way since I did DOD work,, always seemed to get f*cked! Was home a with the gf, so wasn't a bad day.
