I'm on my phone right now but I'll make a hell of a google map for you. After living up there and traveling back and forth probably over 100 times I definitely learned the most fun routes, ESP through vt. Where are you staying?

That would be great. Much appreciated.

We don't have a set place. If the weather is looking good we will camp, if it's looking cold we will grab a hotel of some type.

If you're in that Lake Placid area, make sure you find your way to T**** Road!

Dude! The first rule of T*** Rd is that you do not type out the full name where anyone lurking the forum can read it. Last thing we need is for it to turn into a northern version of the Dragon. The townspeople on the eastern end already don't like all the motorcycle traffic.

Manny, lots of great roads around Lake Placid. Rt 86 between Wilmington and Lake Placid; County Highway 21 aka Riverside Dr (though it was still a little sandy last time I was there, a few weeks ago); Rt 73 between Lake Placid and where it joins Rt 9 southeast of Keene; Blue Ridge Rd between 28N and 9; and yes, T Rd (if SprintPoser edits his post and you don't see the full name, PM me and I'll clue you in privately).

Really, none of the roads in that area are bad. Great area to ride. Was just over there today, in fact.

And by the way, if you want a good place to stop for lunch, go to the ADK Cafe in Keene, right where Rt 73 and 9N merge. Have the Reuben. You won't be sorry, trust me.

I edited it in the interest peace and not understanding the fuss, but under protest of the censorship of freedom of speech. I really don't believe writing that is going to change anything. Seriously.

I agree. When I first read it, it took me a whole extra hour to figure it out using google.

But I'm all for secrets, as long as I'm cut in.

What do we know about decent campgrounds in that area?

I've stayed at Lincoln Pond, (state campground) on Essex 7

I say stay off the state highways and stick to the county roads, specially that 86 to wilmington, too much traffic, of all the county roads I like Essex 13 the best, shorter, also Essex 4, better than Essex 6/T road imho, I also like to avoid Lake Placid itself, zip over the back side of Whiteface thru Franklin Falls
