I was up there this weekend... I missed the actual 311mph run but met Bill and saw the bike... it was a good time!

bikes have hugetraction issues at bonneville since its salt . . not pavemnt lol

Yes, but there are a number of safety requirements that must be met. I've looked up the requirements before.

Similar to loudon you have to register in a class and obtain a license... example a class b license is over 175 miles per hour but under 200... you have to qualify in each class eg 125 miles per hour 150 miles per hour etc...

Cool, Vince, tx. Still and all, I'd bet there's always some wise-ass pulls 150 while qualified only for 125. Something tells me they get zee boot, no? Do they make ya lockwire the oil, coolant drain and calipers? Like a track prep, or do they even bother?

I've seen people crash at Bonneville at slower speeds. I would not want to do that on pavement. I've also see what 300+mph looks like and I would not want to do that either.

I hope Dave gets his 200mph next year.
