    Bye Bye VFR

Yep, the new owner came by and picked it up yesterday. Seems like he will be good to it. I'd put money on him riding it to Deal's Gap this season.

Very weird, I expected to be sad but I don't really have any regrets. Even walking out this morning and seeing the empty spot in the garage. I've probably put close to a thousand miles on my bicycles already since the new year started, that's probably part of it. Kind of hard to be bummed when I'm already out riding a bunch. I had just gotten back from a group ride when the guy came to pick up the VFR.

Guess I liked the Mustang I sold a couple years ago more than the motorcycles. I was REAL sad the day after I got rid of that thing to get the SV.

So why did you get rid of the Viffer?

Was it that bad of a POS?

    Bye Bye VFR

Nah just decided to stop motorcycling for a while and concentrate on bicycle racing. Combination of not wanting to be a gimp when I'm older, $$ vs. excitement, etc..

The motorcycle was just starting to seem like a vehicle, not what it was when I first started. When I first starting motorcycling it was a big rush, that has steadily been fading away as I get better. Some rides are good, but others I get increasingly frustrated with traffic, cops, weather, etc.. It wasn't the VFR. I think if I'd gotten a sportier bike I would have arrived at this decision even faster.

I can get that same rush out of most kinds of exercise and it never goes away.

    Oh... My... God...

    That's some fuckin scary-impressive bastardization!

I think Ferris Bueller's day off is definitely in my top 5 movies I wasted way too much time watching as a kid.

btw... already had a bike stolen, it sucks, at least it was a pos....

    First off...

Good luck with bike riding ben! sounds like you made a good personal decision...

    Second..

did anyone else notice that the booking time was 13:15 and the release time was 13:16? Seems funny they would let him go in less than a minute....
