They make a great alternative to jogging. Running a couple hundred feet to bump start has gotta be equivalent to a couple miles of running.

And in advance. Jim, bite me.

Ducati marketing is only second to that of Hardly Drivables.

I had a similar problem with my Yamaha, and having to push it/run along side it! But rather the bike being a heap of crap (harr harr..ducati), it was the owner (harr harr, me) that neglected the fuel light and it ran out of gas.

If I am honest the reason the battery was dead to begin with was my fault as I left my GPS plugged in. Fail

And the difference between a broken Yamaha and a broken Ducati is that my bike still looks good stranded on the side of the road.

Re: A lesser known fact about ducati's

Several years ago I couldn't get my KZ1100 to start so I decided to use the steep hill at the end of my parent's driveway to bump start it. I pushed it down the hill and dumped the clutch in second gear and it never showed any signs of life. I was pissed and I had a bitch of a time pushing the heavy bike back up the steep hill and all the way up the driveway. When I sat down next to it to start fixing it, I saw the inline fuel shut off valve that was inbetween the petcock and the carbs which I had completely forgotten about since it isn't in plain sight. I turned the fuel on and cranked it for a few seconds and it fired right up. This chain of events ranks right up there in my list of excessive swearing fits.

In the New Southie, Ducatis are the starter bikes of choice. I bet they outnumber Harleys these days. It's the perfect accessory for a 3-series and a condo.

I guess that is what makes Southie great!
