Unhappy I made a little mistake today

I went to a Yammy dealer in CT (Excalliber) with a friend that bought a 05 YZ450F and while he was taking care of paperwork, i got to talking about the black R1/R6 I got to see the Raven 1&6 still crated Both were not sold and when i asked about price he said he'd discount them but not a lot. At that point i had to leave because once i start haggling with numbers, i go home with a bike So, if anyone is looking, Excalliber Motorsports in Plainfield Ct has them and seems willing to haggle about the price

I do good at my local Yam dealer now so I won't travel for a bike anymore (unless he does't have what i want).
No new bikes for me this year, well maybe a 06 YFZ 450 if there are any major changes

    It's very hot twice

I actually talked some numbers , it'd cost me $3k and my 04 to get on a new 05 Raven.
Seeing there are no major changes to the 05, i asked about buying a set of Yamaha Raven body work. I can buy everything i need to make mine look like the Raven for just under $1500 brand new from Yamaha, then sell my red bodywork for about a grand. Then i can have the 05 raven look for about 5 beans

Would the Raven fairings work with your exhaust? Seems like the new bike has one of those blinged-out undertail deals...

Yeah, it'd work with mine, i'd just have to get the back undertail, maybe even a nice loud set of pipes

Actually you'd have a raven bike with a red tank and fender for 5 beans and you would't have that tastefu red stripe on your wheels

The only thing i'd be missing is the red strip on the wheels, which i think looks like ass anyways

You can get the tank & the plastic cover, tail section & undertail, right & left side cowlings, upper cowling and the front fender for $1500.

    it's tempting!

then you could call it a limited addition 04

and it truly would be, unlike all the black 03 r1's and r'6's

that are just black not a limited addition

The 03 black/red flames are actually SE (special eddition) and not LE (limited eddition), same with the 05 Raven. The only limited eddition from Yamaha is the champions in 01

I made a little mistake today

yours can be a CE then since its custom, or is that Kustom?

Either way, are you gonna part out the plastics or do an all-in-one? Thinking e-bay wise, might be able to get a bit more if you did it piecemeal. Just be sure to take *many* good photos.

..or if you already have a buyer locally, disregard this.

Second thought: the way you take care of stuff and since its like new anyways, why not just put the red plastic back in the bag and drive back to the dealership and tell them you changed your mind on the plastics, see if they notice the fact its not black anymore
    Cost: 16$ (gas to/fro dealer )

    I'll think about that....
    Nope

Strangeguy, i'm not even sure what i'm going to do yet, i may not even bother (unless i bin it at VIR )
I probably wouldn't buy the stuff off ebay though, body sets go for almost what they cost new on ebay so i'd rather get it from the dealer and not have to worry about it being scratched or anything
There isn't a scratch on my red bodywork now and i'd ebay that stuff as a set
