i have not. it lost power, slows down, the more i give it gas, open throttle, but smooth.

do these bikes have any kind of manifold pressure sensor? airbox pressure? I would assume to make the best hp with the ram air they would...maybe something is awry with yours. Seeing as it seems to rev ok freely, but not when actually moving.

will it get to 8k or is there something like a soft-limiter that is keeping you from reaching it? could be a neutral safety switch or something lame like that too.

Yes they do have MAP sensors AFAIK. Mine has one, I think most do as opposed to a MAF sensor due to size & complexity.

But a failure in that sensor should trip the FI light, and then Kham should be able to read a code to figure out which sensor is bad.

yea exactly. FI is not lit at all. the pressure sensor is under the back seat.

what im think to do tonight is put some injector cleaner in, open the gas tank cap little bit and test ride without the pipe.
