    local "mechanic"

I have tooooooo many projects right now and 2 kids ( 1- 9 month old and a soon to be 6 yo who i'm having fun with)

Any local ish bike mechanics or hobbyists I could trust that might want to help me get my bikes ( xr650r and wr250f) in shape for the spring?
Nothing grandish just the usual carb, fork oil , valve in the xr etc stuff.

i'm in wilmington say an hour max away

There’s a racer that has his own smaller shop in Sterling Ma that might be able to help you out. He used to work for a dealership. I think his rate are not dealership prices either. I can Pm his contact info if you’d like?

What Tas said. Jimmy is a former CMP mechanic with a soft spot for thumpers. He’s about 15 minutes past the 495/Rt 2 interchange. PM me if you want his number.

I"d appreciate it... I'm around sterling every so often.

Ideally I was hoping for a local "kid" round my town like I found last time ( clean the carbs do some basic maintenance he was 19 but a racer and he did it for short money)
but I think what I need now is some one more involved.

the cheapest way is to put an ad on facebook and ask for prior work. there are also lots of fly-by-night "shops" in lowell that can get it done for a few hundo

true yes... rep helps in this situation. this kid I knew thru a friend locally. and worked on it here in my garage.

Its always sketchy to drop off a bike at shop just known on FB. I even see some of those FB car mechanics. I"m tempted... sometimes. just sometimes
