Got laid into by several bystanders so he stopped quickly. There were pedestrians everywhere. It was monumentally dumb. Not even Mustang drivers do that there.

There was a company from CT with a Mazda RX8 electric conversion, using the motor from a Nissan Leaf and the battery pack from a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

Put these things on my RockyMounts 1.25" rack. Using one tray it is rated for a 60lb bike but using both trays drops each bike limit to 45lbs.

I sent it anyway with these 63lb bikes with the batteries left in. It did fine but dont think I'll do it again.

I have another 2" rack for my Jeep rated at 60lbs per bike.

These things sure are heavy to transport, i wonder if most consumers take that into account.

Some of the best temperate weather out there, but Store them inside and never unattended LB is notorious for theft

Glad that mustang continues the legacy of fun in the sun recreation from the previous owner

And ya come ride Santiago Peak. You can ride the WR from home

Yes let's ride Santiago! WR has been in Sumo mode but I can bring the dirt wheels back from storage and do a quick swap! Or we hit up a kart track then do Santiago?

The Sur Ron got herself a KO controller upgrade and holy shit! I didn't go for the full motor and controller package as I've spent more than I want to admit already but wow what a difference. Did a battery BMS bypass to gain some juice, it's rated at a 7.3kw draw but I'm trying 6kw which is still a good jump from the stock 4.5kw max. But yeah, this machine continues to impress.

    The KTM SX-E 5 I'm looking at can do 6kw, but that's with a 10in rear wheel, and a good 20lbs lighter.

Ducati’s New Limited-Edition Electric Mountain Bike Is a Backcountry Beast
    https://robbreport.com/motors/motorc...st-1234737908/

Ducati now sells three different e-bikes alongside the brand’s first-ever, recently announced electric racing motorcycle. And later this year, an assisted road bike called Futa will join Ducati’s current lineup of electric mountain bikes, which include the MIG-S, TK-01RR and TK-01RR Limited Edition....

Holding up to the aggressive style of Ducati’s DesertX adventure motorcycle, the TK-01RR e-bike pairs an electric power train with all the best mountain-biking components to create an enduro-style off-roader complete with full suspension, massive tires and plenty of juice to power up the biggest hills with ease.

Ducati’s TK-01RR Limited Edition adds a bevy of carbon fiber to the aluminum-framed bike built in partnership with Thok, though the Shimano-sourced EP8 electric motor and 63 watt-hour battery remain the same as those in the standard TK-01RR. With Eco mode selected, a full charge results in a claimed range of 110 miles. Trail and Boost modes increase the bike’s assist wattage significantly, while also decreasing range to 55 miles and 36 miles, respectively.

    Re: Looking for something....electric

We test rode the Van Moof X3 and S3 over the weekend. Glad I didn't YOLO-send that purchase. They have "auto transmissions" which SUCK. They just shift at a set time, no matter how much power you are putting through the pedals. Think about shifting under load on a bicycle. Or imagine shifting without pulling in the clutch or letting off the gas (Without a quickshifter). Got forbid you are going uphill and it decides to shift. To get around it, the guy said you should hold the turbo button while pedalling easy until you get up to speed. I'm positive I could figure out how to ride it smoothly once you figure out the shift points, but eff that. It should just work, or let me change gears on my own - like all the top brand e-bikes.

Apparently, the soon to be released S5 and A5 "transmissions" are massively upgraded, and they'll be in stores next month so we'll give em another go when they come out. My friend is a VC who funded their series B and said not to buy them....something about them probably not being around for that much longer...

You also can't change modes unless you are stopped and it is super slow to change modes. No idea on the mode changing though.

On the flip side, they are way more powerful than I expected and still super, super sexy.

However, at $11-15 each way to take a city e-bike to work and back...its going to purchase one real quick.

My sister bought a vanmoof a year or 2 ago ,but still doesn't use it all that much. She came to the realization that it's a motorcycle with all the same dangers as one. Riding it in the city is something she just hasn't gotten comfortable with.

Does she want to sell it for a loss to me? Probably not worth shipping to be honest….not sure how well they disassemble.
