Looking for North Shore Bike Transport Assistance

I’m looking at a bike in the Salem area. As it is a private sale and I’m not mechanically inclined or knowledgeable I would like to have a pre-purchase inspection completed by an area shop and the closest one to the seller is Cycles 128 in Beverly.

Is there anyone in the Salem-Beverly area with a truck or trailer that would be willing to help me transport a bike from Salem to Cycles 128 and then back to Salem?

After some discussion the seller agreed to transport the bike to Cycles 128. Bike should be getting looked at tomorrow and hope to finalize everything this weeekend.

Got the results of the pre-purchase inspection back.

According to the shop its appears that bike was dropped at some point in the past. The tech said the brake lever and upper cowl bracket were bent. He also said that the handlebars felt bent, but could not be definitely determined and may be a result of the bent cowl.

They also suggested flushing front and rear brakes.

Not sure now if I am going to go forward.

If you doubt it then don't pull the trigger. You should not feel this way about a bike that you are interested in buying.

Yeah, mainly disaapointed. Bike is solid mechanically.

However, based on my recent discussion with the seller it does not appear that he will be flexible regarding the price.
