Lost my only key WTF do i do??

Why not just hotwire it for the weekend? Cut the wires and just put a switch in from autozone for the time being.

Screwdriver it for the weekend then buy a race cap after that. Or buy an ignition and lock set on ebay after.

Back in the 70s Honda stamped a 4digit key code on the ignition cylinder and on the keys. What a joke as anyone could say I need key 1234 etc and ride away. I had a locksmith make me a Pontiac key from looking at a worn key. That was cool. Would think with all the track only sv around some ignition cylinders and gas caps would be sitting in spare parts boxes.

Have you checked your little tool kit that comes with the bike? Or your owners manual even?
I've never had a Suzuki so not sure if they do this or not, but Yamaha gives you a small plate with the key number on it and suggests you write the key number down in your owners manual. I've also found the key code plates mixxed in with the tools in the little tool bag that comes with the bike. Just a thought

Oh. Didn't know it was complex on the SV. My R6 couldn't have been easier and I still have use of the gauges and lights if I had them on.

Fixed!! Thanks lou for the diagram wired it up rode it out to a guy who does impressions and have 2 new keys. Rewired my ignition and all is well. Phew.

That's great! Did LaRNZ do the key impressions or did you finally find someone local? Care to offer up the locksmiths name? Maybe it will be beneficial to someone else someday.

FWIW when I get a bike I usually have an extra key made and tape it with black duct tape up inside the frame someplace. Especially if you camp with your bike, this can be a lifesaver. It doesn't have to be convenient to get at: in fact it shouldn't be.

Seriously, I've got a key hidden on mine as well. I'm admittedly a bit OCD about keys though.
