    MA/NH Custom seat/upholstery shops?

I love the R6S so far, but after 100 miles I can tell it's going to be an ass-beater for long trips. There's nothing available from Corbin for it, so I'm thinking on having a shop just rewrap the stock seat with gel padding instead of the sheet of iron it seems to be made of now.

Any of you know of any shops that will take this on, or have experience with something like this?

Its not hard. Find some memory foam (usually aircraft stores have it) pull back the cover. Cut the size you want to swap out. Then use the removed foam as a template. Spray some spray glue and stick new foam down. put cover back on and restaple.

If you use the exact same size foam it will look great. If you completely alter the seat style/shape it will look like crap (li
e mine) but either way memory foam rocks!!

Aircraft stores? I work for the military out of Hanscom AFB - you don't mean that I can grab raw memory foam at the BX, do you?

Apparently my bike's bodywork is the same as the 2005 R6 (non-S), and Corbin does have a seat listed up there for that model. I just emailed them, and with any luck it'll be a direct fit and my ass will thank me.

Otherwise, I may have to give it a go myself. Thanks man.

Where is the closest aircraft store to Boston? I'd like to get some of this memory foam and I'm also looking into replacing a wing on my airplane and some elevation gyros.

    All-Nu Upholstery

I had them do my SV. FAR cheaper than an aftermarket seat, and it was done in a few hours(!). They also modified it for me free of charge after I had time to see if I liked it (I had em pad a little more up at the front of the seat). Zero complaints from me.

    Re: MA/NH Custom seat/upholstery shops?

There are two places in Lawrence that I have seen good work from. One is Stitches Custom Upholstery and the other is Columbia Auto Seat Covers. They are both on South Broadway, Stitches is actually one building down from the shop I work at. Stitches deals with bikes more because of the biker bar right next door but Columbia does more of the typical Lawrence ricer car stuff so they wouldn't have a problem re-stuffing a seat.
