Hey Mike, how ya doin?
I just joined up here and was wondering if i could promote a track day at Virginia International Raceway that's being organized by a new group - New England Track Riders (www.netrackriders.com) The group is mainly composed of members of www.nestreetriders.com and we're trying to get some more people to go to this since the guy running the show is already 10 grand in the hole.
here's the flier for the event - http://www.cornerspeed.net/pdf%20files/NEflyer05%20.pdf
Lemme know if it's cool to post it up. Thanks :thumb:i suppose i shouldn't have gone on about NESR & NETR, eh? but how's that for helpful? what do you guys suggest i retort that with? i was thinkin somethin like this:sportbikes wrote on 02-15-2005 02:14 AM:
I would love to help... but I do have some concerns. We run this site with all funds coming from 2 private investors. The goal is to give back to the sportbike community. My problem is that the events are all promoting seperate forums that do nothing for us as sportbikers, but fragment the market, hence diluting the power of sportbikers.
If you can show us how we can benefit, I would be happy to help. Benefits could be promotion of our site, and if you are not willing for that... then it comes down to dollars and cents.
Let me know.
Mike
"Mike
Thank you so much for doing nothing to help the sportbike community promote a 100% non-profit trackday that's being offered TO the entire sportbike community BY the sportbike community. This track day is also being FUNDED by the sportbike community, which is currently 10 grand IN THE HOLE. Your lack of support and the fact that you intend to PROFIT by PRETENDING to help the sportbike community at the sportbike community's expense is noted by the sportbike community.
die in a fire
- the sportbike community"
i dunno... i'm in a pissy mood
suggestions for reply are welcome, as i haven't said anything back yet. and if i do, it won't be anything like that... it'd be more like this
"Perhaps i should have chosen my words a little better.... NETR and NESR are 100% non-profit groups who's pure intention is to get the word out about events like this. we still need to come up w/ 20 more people to go so the cost of our track event doesn't DOUBLE to 1100 dollars per person. All i wanted to do was let people know on your website that this event is available to them. it's up to them whether or not they would like to go."
or somethin
