Dan, Derek and myself are offering a 'winterizing day' for newer riders (and maybe some not so newer riders). It'll happen in the latter part of October, most likely on a Saturday. Location will be up at my place. Cost will be $20 a person, and that'll cover lunch, antifreeze - if needed - and disposal fees for dumping oil and/or coolant. We're gonna limit this to the first 10 people that speak up...
We'll cover oil & filter changes, cleaning and oiling air filters, bleeding hydraulics, checking plugs, replacing antifreeze if needed, how to keep your battery stored and charged, among other things. We'll also cover how to prep your bike's appearance and finish for it's long winter nap...
All you need to bring is $20, your choice of oil & filter, the proper DOT rated brake fluid for your bike, your owners or repair manual (preferably a repair manual, but the owners manual will work too), plugs if you prefer to change 'em, and any other materials you think you may need. I'll pick up a coupla gallons of aluminum safe antifreeze and DISTILLED water as those items may be a bit much for peeps to carry on the bikes...
Don't worry about riding home after we do this. It won't effect anything we're gonna do that day. It won't even disturb anything if you ride for a coupla weeks after this...
We're gonna hammer out a date soon so that if there's any interest, we can get a sign up going...
So, is there any interest?
