    MA helmet law

I'm too lazy to search, but I checked www.bostonbiker.com I read that a bill passed by the senate allows riders choice to wear a helmet if they have private health insurance and have taken the MSF course.

Also on boston.biker.com is that if passed, the law would enact on July 1st.

So now it's July 3rd, and not that I'd ever ride without a helmet, but is it no longer the law?

I'm sure if it were law we would be hearing on the news how bikers without helmets were killing old people and scaring babies.

I did a little research on the bill that was mentioned in the first post, the only thing that I could find was a small blurb about the bill was, it would give people over the age of 21 and with 6 years of riding experience or having taken the class, the option of wearing a helmet, jsut the bill passed the house, it now has to go further and be voted on.

In my opinion I would be very surprised if it made into law.

Because doing that would admit that THE MAN is telling me what do do!!! What about my freedom of choice???

Of course, THE MAN also told me to get a license when I already know how to ride so I did that.

And, THE MAN also told me to get it registered and insured and I did that too.

Ben wasn't wearing a helmet when he crashed and it's all good! Why do you need teeth anyway? I can live on soup!
