Totally depends on the examiner... Could be as easy as riding around a parking lot... or it could be as hard as riding around a parking lot.

    Re: Massachusetts Road Test

I had to do two laps around a parking lot. Shifting into 2nd and back down to 1st. Then I had to do two figure eights & show him my hand signals. That was it.

I cant recommend doing the MSF course and getting your licence that way, vs just going for the test. Even if you've been riding on a permit a good while.

I dont know if Id do it on a scooter. They are hard to ride at slow speeds and turning. The 2mm of trail they run makes for an easy tuck under. I dont know how many times Ive almost crash Gs scooter at the track just getting going.

I had my permit so long when I went for the test the state trooper looked at me and my bike and said " You've really had your permit this long"?

You passed with flying colors if any one asked you....Thank You, have a nice day....

I did absolutely nothing for the test but drive there on my bike..

I was told to follow the cop as he tested a young girl in her car.
Then when we came back to the registry he had me do a figure 8 aound 2 cones without putting my feet down.
Then he asked me to explain counte steer.

    Re: Massachusetts Road Test

In MA, the cop told me to gear up and meet him in the corner of the parking lot with the bike. When I got there, he said "do a lap around the parking lot and when you get back, do a circle in any direction you want and then a figure 8 in any direction you want. Once you finish, just go park out front and meet me inside. I'll take care of the rest."

    Re: Massachusetts Road Test

Ok so i passed!! The test was an absolute joke... the guy who was moderating the test said to do 2 circles, 2 figure 8's and shift into 2nd and then stop. I asked how much space i could used he said "use the whole parking lot" which was approx 200x200ft.... then i had to wait almost 2 hours in all my gear at the rmv to get my picture taken lol. all in all it was a good day!!
