    maybe going R6

I found a good deal on a 2008 for $6999, left over 0 miles, my last 2 bikes have been you guest it (gixxers) on 98/04' I though maybe I'll buy a R1 but is really a lot of power that i wont use, I like cruising and getting my leaning angle partice on the back roads of southcoast mass, im into a different kind of riding thanks to you guys, no posing for me, not into doing 160mph on 95, so I will like to get your personal opinion or thoughts on this bike, ive been reading on the r6 forum, but there opinion are very biased of course. I figured to be paying 4/5k for a use bike, I might buy this one, yes I love my gsxr's, maybe you guys can change my mind! thanks

there is an 08 R6 for sale on here with 1,000 miles and a good amount of upgrades (full exhaust, bazzazz, etc) for $8k. might want to look into that instead of buying the same bike all stock for $1k less

Hard to balk at a 0 mile, factory-original bike that's 2 years old.

You can't go wrong with any of the modern 600's. Base your choice on Style and Price unless you're completely brand loyal. I have owned 2 R6's and really enjoyed them.

So you think a used bike with a bunch of add ons is worth more than a brand new one? Maybe if the used one was a year or 2 newer is agree with you.

I had an 08 R6 before, overall is an awesome bike. Very easy on corners and have very good mid range and unbelievable top end for a 600. I say go for it, you won't be disappointed.

the saying that mods dont add any value is bullshit. Id probably go with the modded bike, cause I would want to put those mods on anyway

Depends on the buyer. But for me, I'd go with the stock brand new bike any day as long as it is going to be a street bike. It's a grand LESS!

Buy new when you can. Sounds like you have a good deal there. Buying new lets you know just how that motor was treated, because everything will be done by you. Buying used theres a chance your just buying a promblem bike that the owner does not want to deal with anymore.

    Re: maybe going R6

I went from a gsxr 600 to a TLR and loved every moment of it. It is not for everyone though...

It is a fat ass pig of a bike. They stopped making it in '03 so finding a low mileage, unmolested example is getting more and more difficult. The few months that I owned my TLR for before an old man totalled it for me was the most fun I have had since I started riding in '02. You really have to ride one to understand the appeal.

    Re: maybe going R6

Both look like fairly decent deals. Couldn't see the damage mentioned in the first one in the pictures so it depends on how bad it is. Mark(TLRMan) has a wealth of knowledge with these bikes and if you go that route he is definitely worth getting in contact with for a day of tuning.
