There is a cool one in Palmer MA and the best one I have been too is pilgrim state hospital in bay shore Long Island. That place is super creepy.

Nice, thanks. Pine St a little ways south of there is pretty fun too.

I went and rode around the old Worcester State Hospital grounds on Sunday. The only thing I could find was the administration building, and I couldn't find the clock tower even though it's apparently still there.

It was probably right in my face, but there were too many trees and such. Fairly large campus as well

EDIT: Looking at google maps, I rode literally right around it, but couldn't go that way because of a gate. I'll have to go back

I live like 10-15 minutes away from the Medfield hospital. I've never actually walked around the hospital grounds before but have always wanted to. I'm always riding around that area. TONS of fun roads in Sherborn, Dover, Westwood, South Natick, Needham. I recently discovered a fun little road in South Natick that has a lot of nice twists to it. I know the 90 degree turn that was mentioned on Farm Road. For the guys that know the turn. Be VERY careful by the bridge that goes over the charles. There's usually a cop there waiting to bust people flying around the blind corner.

Looks like they are starting to demolish the buildings?

If I were to guess, they are going to start clearing the land, state is going to sell it to a developer and will eventually become a condo/apartment complex (like what happened with the Danvers Hospital).

Cool thread. Lol. Always interested to hear about good roads too since eastern Ma. has so few twisty roads and most of the hidden gems are kept hidden by the locals. I don't blame them. Haha

Yup...lotsa great roads out there. From the former Northampton State just keep heading out 66 to 112 north and loop around the Peru state forest. Lotta options to stray once you start that loop. Here are a couple more pics of what now looks like condos/professional buildings (from Google earth). So many houses of horror gone and (soon) forgotten.
