Meet the New Toy

Picked it up this weekend. Thanks to Sheppo for offering a great deal on a new DRZ...but I decided to go with this bike. Stats: 2007 came from the factory with an 08 motor...550, with plenty of power to spare. 780 miles...big strips. Took a chance, as I know these bikes can be challenging. I heard too many good things about the fun factor...and when I rode it, the decision was made.

Mark's old bike?

No...I did talk to Mark...great deal offered on his bike also. I got this from a guy in NH. Thought about Mark's bike, but this had an 08 engine. Confirmed by Seacoast where it was bought a few months ago. That's why I went with this one.

Keep the oil changed and an eye on the level and you'll have some fun with that bike. You're in good hands with a bike that came from Seacoast

What kinda bike is it? I mean, is it kind of a hybrid between street/dirt/commuter/cafe? It looks like you could heel it over 50 degrees on pavement from looking at the tires on it. But I can't envision trashing and thrashing in the dirt, but it looks like with different tires, it could traverse some pretty rough territory in the woods..

It's a Supermoto

They do make the exact same bike in a dirt version, the RXV 550

I've been considering one of the heavier, low-maintenance motards but I'm now playing with the idea of a dirtbike based one now. Mostly due to the fact that my time is worth nothing because I am unemployed. Problem is I don't want to spend over $4k.

Ha, ha...no more unpaved roads for the mv. I'm up for a ride any time once I get this registered. The bike is a blast.
