what's your application? All street? Some street, some track? Alot of track?

I had the Powers on my ZX & loved em... did 5 trackdays on em and about 6k street miles & they held up great. They've still got some rubber on em.

I'll probably get another set of those when they're done.

i had the Michelins for about 7k miles on my RC-51 ( sold ) , now i was looking for anyone that had tried both

i have no dout how GOOD the P.Power is .. just want to know how well the Qualifier is against the P.Power

i have plans to try to save some maney for track this year ( but i really like the medium/soft compound i like the confidence to lean etc )

by the way are going to Loundon this year ?

Don't make me laugh so hard

I'll be there in two weeks for the weekend, then May 13th & 14th, then May 25th, then June, then July, then August then..... well... you get the idea.... pretty much at least once a month till October if all goes as planned.

From my experience with Pilot Powers.... and from everyone else I've heard... Pilots powers are the way to go.

The Q's are the new challenger for that spot. For me... I won't even try them unless they satisfy both of these:

    1. Come down in price. They are still a good chunk more cash than the Powers are currently.

    2. The must get consistent positive reviews from lots of people in the community. In other words... sorry guys... you are the guinea pigs.... not me.

I'll take two michelin donuts, and a large coffee(cream and sugar) TO GO!!!

The Dunlops can be had for about $8 more per set than the PP's
I'm looking forward to trying them, but haven't had the powers. I've been a Dunlop fan.... except for the OEM 10R tires, they sucked.

    I love my powers.

They kicked the ass of the 208zr's, that's for damn sure. I'd be curious about the new Qualifiers.

Q's are consistently $10-15 less than Pilot powers thru mail order.

Michelin Pilot Power vs Dunlop Qualifier

I just ordered my new set of Powers tonight from Southwest Moto $234.90 delivered. It was going to be 239.80 from Comp Accessories. Only $5 but I have had good lucck with SWM in the past and can be assured the tires will be shipped within 3 days tops!

Qualifiers were cheaper through Comp Accessories. $199 + $20 for shipping 2 tires. ($10/tire)
Powers are cheaper through Southwest moto with free shipping!

I may never go back to Dunslops again from bad experiences in the past. I am very happy with the Powers!

Not sure why you threw the Pirelli Supercorsa's in there.. that's a race-only tire.

Pilot Powers and Qualifers are street tires. Pirelli Diablo Corsa's would be the equivilant street tire, which I hear is quite nice.

    Interesting.

I've heard running Race Rubber on the street isn't the best idea. Due to the fact they are meant to be used on the track to get up to temp. Blah blah blah.

Beat me, I run race tires on the track and street tires on the street.

I run Metzeler Sportec M-1's on my street 929 + they are awesome!!
in fact I ran them at VIR last month---where I powered out of the turns hard + rode harder than on the street + they stuck like race rubber!

interesting... I found my M1's to get a little greasy on the track when ya pushed em hard & put alot of heat into em. Not sure if it was rider error or what, but i had a couple of big pucker moments on the track when they slid on me when i wasn't expecting it. Other than that i thought they were a great tire. I just have more confidence in a set of Powers.
