    Off to Milwaukee tomorrow

I have a workshop to attend for the Harley Davidson Rider's Edge courses I teach.
Myself and 3 others are riding out to Milwaukee. The dealership I teach at was nice enough to loan me a HD for the ride.
    2010 Ultra Classic.
Just rode it home from the dealer. Wow, talk about comfort!!!!!!
Will post up pics and a ride report when I get back to town on Monday.

Thanks, never thought I would be riding a Harley but tough to turn down a brand new bike built for racking up miles. CD/Stereo and the most comfortable seat I have ever sat on

Yeah that's about the perfect scenario if ever there was an 'excuse' to try a Hardley. Wouldn't mind trying one but I'd need to have miles of slab to cover in order to actually appreciate the ride I think...

    Re: Off to Milwaukee tomorrow

put 2k on the odometer for the trip.
My review of the 2010 HD ultra classic.
Comfortable as hell, ate up serious mileage with virtually no discomfort. Averaged 500 miles a day on our trip.
Adequate power, nothing fantastic but I did expect that.
Bike feels very light once it is moving. Low speed, tight turns were a cinch. Stable at high speed. At 80mph I was just under 3k on the tach.
Only cornering I did was on and off ramps. But once the bike was in the corner it was planted. But once you try to make any corrections mid corner it is a bit fidgety.
Averaged around 35mpg and we did 99% highway so the mpg's sucked.
Worth the $25k tag? Nope. But it was free for me so I couldn't pass it up. I enjoyed it, although I find it tough to NOT have fun on anything with two wheels and a motor.

    Re: Off to Milwaukee tomorrow

    some pics:

    My bike for the trip

Left from Webster, Ma and stayed in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side for the first night

    Our view from the room.

Then went through Canada, across Michigan to Muskegon and onto the ferry to Milwaukee

2 days of classes and seminars and we headed back across Lake Michigan early in the morning

Then same route home- through Canada, stayed at Niagara Falls and then back home.

    The bikes in our group

was a great trip. First time I have ever seen Niagara Falls and any of the Great Lakes.
