Mini Racing - NEMM

Pitbikes, midsize dirt donks and mini GP bikes all have a place to play. Two track layouts let you get your Sumo on, or skip the dirt and shred asphalt entirely. No BS, only a couple prima-donas and lots of bench-racing plus good old fashioned bar banging.

It's cheap, fun, umm... I'm out of promotey speak so uh... just do it ok?

Dunno where the away round is going to be, but seeing as Aaron just sunk money into buying his own track, I'm not surprised the majority of the rounds are there. Works for me, it's practically in my back yard.

How are you liking the 150R? At OVRP, there was a 12 yearold kid with one who absolutely ripped.

It's all spelled out on their site. Worst case scenario you don't pre-enter:

$40 for a license for the year, $65 for your first class, $35 for a bump class

If you wanna go cheapie cheap, $15 day license, pre enter so it's $50 for your first class, $25 for a bump class.

What is a 'bump' class? What is the machine to have for this sort of thing?

Is this like LRRS? Do folks camp up around there and make a weekend of it? Or is it mostly locals or something?

What's the story like for spectators or folks interested in just checking it out?

So, you show up with a machine built for the Sport Mini class, but want to get more racing in. You can 'bump' to XR100 cup if your machine also meets those rules and get more racing in on the cheap. Generally speaking a bump class puts you into a 2nd class where you're likely a slight underdog as you're not built to the same limits as the other bikes.

If you're familiar with LRRS, it's like taking a LWSS machine and entering LWSB, or more extreme taking that same LWSS machine and jumping into HWSB.

I am not at all familiar with LRRS... except for watching it once. I'm one of those people who couldn't tell you LWSB from PTSD.

So what is an example of a machine built for "Sport Mini" class? Something like an NSR50?

http://nhf-racing.com/nemm.html has all the answers. Short form, dirt bike base, street tires, it'll have somewhere to run. XR100s are very popular, along with TTR125s, XR150s, and full size dirty donks.
