    Last Minute Repairs...

So after my last track day, I ended up with a bent gear shift lever on my Daytona. Ordered it, picked up the part, and started to install the part tonight... and I busted the gear shift rod. It's a ridiculously simple part, but I don't know how I'm going to come up with it in time for Monday's track day.

    Part 6 here if you're interested... http://www.bikebandit.com/2007-trium...7634#sch568058

It's an aluminum rod, threaded on both ends... except one end is reverse threaded Second Wind in Merrimack doesn't have the part or the assy. it's part of and can't get it by Monday (they were the only ones open at the time).

Going to make some calls tomorrow, but I thought I'd try asking the masses. Any ideas?

    -Dave

The rods are all the same basically... just need to know the overall length.

I have a couple in my trailer, but not sure of the length... stock Honda 600rr length if you can find that online?

Also, www.streetandcomp.com will be at the trackdays. I bet they have an assortment, so contact them as soon as you have the length.

It looks like this is one case where Triumph decided to do their own thing... the shift rod is male on both ends and quickly looking at the other 600's, they're all female. Awesome.

Either works for me, you'd already be doing me a huge favor! If you want the extra garage space, I'll take the whole thing.

Let me know how much you want for them.

You can have it. I'll send the stock rearsets and clip ons with kevin russell or mike weyant. Either way they will be waiting for you at tech inspection.

Good luck and try to keep it upright this time
