I was getting those Ramp Kits (the aluminum bits to bolt onto a long board to make a ramp) at Lowes today & asked this old dude workin there if he could point me in the right direction. He was nice enough to bring me to em, tell me how great they are, how he's got a set for his riding lawnmower, blah blah blah...
well he asked me what i needed them for & I made the mistake of telling him they were for my motorcycles...
ohhhh boy.... Long story short, the guy kept me for no less than 15 minutes talking about bikes & lecturing me on how dangerous they were. I was like "Art, I've been riding on the track for 3 years... Art, there's millions of ways to minimize risk... Art, I race at Loudon... Art, I help control ride at the track... Art... ART!".....
Didn't work... I wanted to hit myself in the head w/ a hammer but I was in the wrong isle. In the end I just gave up, smiled & let him say his peace then thanked him for the help.
Morral of the story, if you're in Lowes in Danvers/Peabody on 114, don't mention motorcycles to an old guy workin there named Art, ya might find yourself looking for a hammer.
