Im buying a dyno (car and bike)

Is it big enough for a truck? I have a CrewCab long box Powerstroke Diesel F-250, and I've done a few mods, I'd like to see what it does for power....

I'll have to check the wheelbase, but that would be SWEET

The truck is RWD, with 4x4. According to manufacturer of the chip I installed, the truck should have 425HP and 600 ft.lbs. of torque , though I imagine thats a typical tuner's claims.

i dont think that should be muchof a problem :-)

thos chip claims are ususally flywheel
actual whp is usuallu 20-30% less
    from drive line losses

It's hard to beleive you'd get that from just a "chip" but with that kind of a gain, i'd think you'd see huge differences in it just driving?

I'm looking into the same shit for my truck now and i'd be curious on a dyno deal? Sucks i can't adjust anything with the transmission with mine with a computer but i'll save that for another project. I think i'm almost sold on the Westers programmer for mine and they advertise 50hp gain at the wheels with the motor i have. Exhaust and a air intake kit is advertised at another 35+ hp. I'm looking more for economy tho as they all advertise improvements, and i need all i can get

dude I washed mine once sunday and again on monday, damned nasty.

I've still yet to figure out how it manages to saturate ME when I'm on top of it, but that 450 does magical things

(sorry again btw - this time because it was cold as hell and COLD stankwater is 10x as bad)

The turbo diesels gain huge horsepower from reprogramming the computer, I'm not enough of a mechanice to tell you why, but they do make a HUGE difference. The truck is tough to drive in the rain, it always wants to spin the rear tires. I also have an AFE intake and a 4" exhaust, and that is the setup that supposedly produces those large numbers.

Its definitely fun to drive, although it needs better brakes, it gets going way too fast for such a heavy rig

BTW, my fuel economy also went way up with the chip (which is actually just a programmer) - I went from getting 15-16MPG to getting 15 pulling a trailer, 22 empty
