    Interesting morning...

So I rode both days this weekend, didn't really go anywhere far away, just out to Motomarket to test out my PC3 tweaks on Saturday and then yesterday I went out for lunch and rode around Natick, Framinham, etc... both days I wore my mesh clothes and was kind of cold at speed.

So this morning I throw on the Cordura gear so I'd be a little warmer, I also have a bunch of stuff to bring in (laptop, gym clothes) so I throw the hard saddlebags on.

While I am putting on my helmet I hear a screech. Get on the bike go out the street and take a right. (Our house is on the corner)

2 Houses down is the Chamber of commerce. A woman has hit the chamber of commerce head on with her Ford Taurus. The amazing thing about this is she crossed the intersection, jumped the curb, threaded the car in between a huge tree and a telephone pole, and then contined 50 feet over the grass before plowing into the house. Oh and the speed limit is 20mph (school zone) and there was a cop directing traffic at the intersection when she had her accident. I cannot imagine how she managed to do this. So I got stuck in a big traffic jam like 2 houses down from my apartment.

Then I get on 128, I get get off at Exit 32 (burlington mall) or Exit 33. I usually take Exit 33 to avoid the mall traffic, even though the office is directly behind the mall.

Well as soon as I go past exit 32 this morning traffic grinds to a halt. Since I have my saddlebags on, I can't lane split through the mess. (Ass end of the VFR with saddlebags is as wide as a gold wing) And since I wore the warm clothes I start sweating.

Well I get up to my exit after going up the breakdown lane and going through whatever other gaps I can fit through. 1/4 mile before my exit I see the accident, the ambulance/fire got there like 1 minute before I did.

It is a single vehicle accident, looks like one of the new Jeep Grand Cherokees. Straight road and the guy figured out some way to hit the guard rail head on, crumple the entire car, and the EMTs have him on the stretcher as I go by. Again I have no idea how you hit the guard rail head on while going straight. He had no flat tires and he hadn't rolled the truck, and no other cars were involved in the accident.

I don't know, this whole thing made me amused as opposed to frustrated and/or pissed off for being stuck in so much traffic. WTF is with people these days!

Then I get in to work and find out I get to go through the second acquisition this year, I now work for Oracle.

    Interesting morning...

I hope it hasn't taken you this long to figure out how many people are as bright as a bag of smashed light bulbs. That's a couple strange accidents you saw though.

I just moved to Medford. I swear it's capital of retard drivers. Luckily the bike is staying garaged in the 'burbs. I really don't like taking it here...apparently stop signs and right of way mean nothing to people.

    Interesting morning...

These accidents are easy to explain. Cell phone in one hand, cup of coffee in the other, newspaper across the steering wheel, while either shaving, or putting on your makeup.
