What a great morning to ride (7/24)

Maybe it's just because I rode Saturday in the fog, mist, drizzle and eventually pouring rain but the morning commute was sweet! I was only out for 15 minutes and I already heard voices saying, "bang a left or right anywhere, we don't need to be at work today". I finally listened and went west instead of south. Only an hour late for work and definitely worth it. Great riding weather. Better than good sex.

That was carefully worded. It wasn't better than great sex and some say there's no such thing as bad sex although I tend to disagree.

What a great morning to ride (7/24)

Today is definitely one of the better days to ride in over the past couple of weeks. Too bad my commute is mostly highway though, but at least I got an hour in on the bike this morning.

I did get to ride yesterday late afternoon. 3 hour ride through south-central MA. (rt 16 east, rt 27 south, rt 109 east, rt 1A south)

Good stuff. Too bad the coffee house in Norwood, which was my target location, is closed on Sundays. But in this case, calling ahead wasn't better than driving there.

Another amazing thing about working from home...

Most of the time, I can take my breaks whenever I want, ride whenever I want, Hell, work whenever I want, as long as things get done.

I gotta admit, during the week, I'm a half squid...wearing riding jacket, gloves, helmet...uh...with capri pants and sneakers. Yeah, yeah...give me hell. You know you want to. The only day I'm not a squid is Fridays when I can wear jeans.

Isn't a ride home, a ride through rush hour traffic?

I think my ride home today was great because when the 2nd shift gets out at 11:30pm, there aren't many people out on the roads.

Pants and shoes in my backpack and ridin' pants and boots on for the ride. Actually my riding pants are cooler than most pants so it works out good.

Truthfully, I have a LOT more close calls commuting than I do out on long weekend rides.
