At the risk of buying a bike with a ton of other non-diagnosable problems. Seller didn't answer, we'll see if he calls back, although I'm not sure what he could say to me to get me comfortable that the bike is OK otherwise.
Haha maybe if it still wasn't worth a ton of money in go-fast parts and motard goodies.

Quick digging says there were problems with the flywheels on those era 610s, magnets would get loose on the flywheel which throws the timing off resulting in spark at the wrong time or no spark.

Rumor is KTM stators will swap in also, Mel at KTM/Husqvarna of Carson City is the go to guy to ask on that one. If that's the case there are aftermarket ones that would be much cheaper than OEM.

That bike has been listed for a few weeks which tells me there is more to the problem then what is listed...
