    Moto GP soap opera

Lots of interesting stuff going on with sponsorship and various riders:

    Speed article

Most interestingly Honda seems to have decided to actively blackball Max Biaggi out of MotoGP.

After all these years, Honda had enough of Biaggi badmouthing Honda.

It always sort of amazed me that someone could be that sour with such an awesome job.

It's not the article but I read rumors he is headed for WSB.. interesting to see how he does there.

Biagi going to WSB is like Tom Brady playing lPop warner...or some long time pro athlete playing with high school kids....shut up, i don't know crap about sports, it's the best analogy I can do?

Biaggi has consistently made excuses as to why his performance has not been up to par.

When he was on Yamaha he complained that Rossi had the advantage on Honda's. Well, the last two seasons sure shut down that argument.

Biaggi is going to WSB on a Suzuki of all bikes.

    Bad link man..

Biaggi might not do so hot in WSB anyway.. he seems to race best on a 2-stroke and WSB seems to be encouraging torquey bikes these days.

    Moto GP soap opera

the article just said that no one in WSB will sign him, Suzis got a cigarette sponser other than camel, Kawis deal bridgestone says they cant make a tire for biaggis riding style, Ducs already got too many riders, and honda wont deal with him. so where does that leave biaggi?.... going for the podium on his PS2 playing Moto GP 4.... probably as Rossi

hes such an ass. no cooth at all. if he would keep his mouth shut while the cameras were on then he might still have a job. you got something bad to say then do it behind closed doors, people might not get as pissed as they do when you publicly degrade them.

in his defense.. (not that i want to defend him).... the bike rossi rides now IS NOT the bike that max rode. Rossi has the inate ability to tell designers what he needs the bike to do and the best way he thinks to do it. ALOT of the changes made to Rossis Yami were improvements that Max had actually suggested when he was riding it but nothing was ever done. maybe if Yamaha had listened to Max he COULD have been more competative on it...maybe.
even Rossis Honda was nothing like all the other Hondas... lower seat, lower gas tank that went furter under the seat, the engine was in the frame a little different..etc.
why listen to Rossi and not Max..... why not?........ who would you listen to?

Rossi had the benefit of Jeremy Burgess and his stellar staff. Gardner, Lawson, Doohan, etc... Those guys know how to build race bikes and Rossi knew how to lead and motivate. They would run through a brick wall for Rossi!

Biaggi cannot match that technical support. Especially with his personality.
