Comments LOUDON, N.H. -- Racing officials say a Connecticut man has died after his motorcycle crashed at an event at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The director of the Loudon Road Race Series event says Morgan Rose of New Haven, Conn., died in the first race of Sunday's event at the speedway.

There are differing accounts of the crash. Race director Don Hutchinson told the Concord Monitor it happened after Rose's motorcycle, a SuperSport-class Suzuki, collided with another rider's. Jerry Gappens, speedway general manager, said Rose crashed on his own before being run over.

Police have not commented. A call to the police chief was not immediately returned Thursday morning.

Hutchinson said Rose was classified as a novice racer and had been riding in the series for about a year.
