Motorcycle Insurance - what are we paying?

Didn't find much on this in a search so thought I would post a new thread. I just renewed my policy and thought I'd see what others are paying for their policies.

    GEICO.
Forty nine dollars to add my motard.
One oh six for my primary bike.
    VT
I have no idea what my coverage amounts are. I said yes to everything but roadside assistance, as I have that through AMA. The person on the phone always seems aghast that the computer spits out numbers so low.
I forgot to put my bike into "winter storage" this year, which reduces it to only comprehensive. Lost maybe $40, but since I rode in December and March, maybe it's best.

    *edit:
    100K/300K bodily inj. liability $26
    50K property liability $8
100K/300k Uninsured motorist bodily injury $40
10K Uninsured Motorist Property Damage $19
    Comprehensive w/$250 deductible $13

I don't see collision in there. Either I don't know how to read, or I decided I could just buy another bike. I also asked specifically about gear coverage after reading about claims here on NESR. GEICO said that is not included, except for some bullshit helmet replacement if I have a receipt and pro-rated for age. So, worthless.

Re: Motorcycle Insurance - what are we paying?

    Cost - $268*
    Age: 28
    State: CT
    Company: Geico
Coverage: $50k/$100k Bodily Injury; $50k Property Damage; $50k/$100k Uninsured Coverage; Comp/Collision $500 Deductible
History: Excellent - 1 violation over 5 years ago
    Vehicle: 2009 Kawasaki ER6N

*Geico does this weird thing where they show the coverage costs for all vehicles combined (mine and my girlfriend's bike), so I took that total and cut it in half. Comp/Collision costs are listed separate for each bike.

Edit: I guess I should also add my age because that matters for coverage.

Progressive will compensate for the damaged gear if you save it or have the photos.
Also will pay the full retail price of the helmet if the photos are provided. They will pick up the price from whatever is currently listed on one of the known m/c sites (Revzilla/STG)

Wow I should up my coverage. I can push all my limits to $250K/$500k for $25 more a year.

Not trying to be condescending here, but you don't have it then. What's the bike's approximate value?

Um, we talkin' retail purchase price or scrap value? I thought I had "full" coverage, but I probably decided against it when realizing the deductible was the same as what I could buy another bike for.

Re: Motorcycle Insurance - what are we paying?

For 3 bikes all with identical coverage (Kawi 12R, Suzi SV650, KTM 500EXC):

    Bodily Injury: 250K/500K
    Propery Damage: 100K
    Uninsured motorist: 250K/500K
    Med payments: 5K
    Comp + Collision: $500 deductible
    $3K accessory coverage
    Roadside Assistance

    Kawi = $284, Suzi = $122, KTM = $102 - for a total of $508.

My coverage is maxed out (on my cars too) to satisfy the requirements for my umbrella policy. I keep comp and collision because the rates aren't bad with a $500 deductible.
