I have one thursday.
At the Lowell RMV, does anyone know what the test consist of?
took me longer to fill out the road test application then to do the test itself, should be fine, i took mine in n. reading tho, not in lowell - the city of lowell is evil
.:|LaRNZ|:.
I took my test in north attleboro, but it was do 2 or 3 circles and a figure 8 and pull back into the parking spot without putting my foot down. if your test is anything like that, just do a couple figure 8's in a parking lot before you go and you'll be fine.
what kind of bike are you taking?
gixxer 600
I dont have hundreds of dollars to take for that course.
I know howto ride, I am just skepitcal about the figure 8 and u-turn
does anyone know the lengths and size of the area the test is performed?
10ft?
Im taking mine at 4 today on my rc51Its terrible at low speed manuvering!
Hey, if I can hit 40 targets during my marksmanship on a beatup m-16 rifle that hasn't been zeroed Im sure I can pass anything![]()

this isn't MA but might help you get an idea of what to expect
YouTube - Washington State Motorcycle Driver License Skills Test
Just make sure you can put your clip-ons all the way to the tank and ride in a circle without putting a foot down. Since you know how to ride I'm sure we don't have to tell you that you'll need to keep your RPMs up, let the clutch all the way out, ride the rear brake and counter lean.
If you can't do it at the test, putting a foot down for a tap is way better than dropping your bike in front of the examiner.
Good luck.
I didnt pass
I put my foot down in the box. i didnt realize how tight it was gonna be! The rc51 isnt the best at low speed manuverability. I did two laps one way, then thought, "Shit, how am I gonna switch directions???" And tried to cut it but there was no way i was gonna make it. Put my foot down about 30 seconds into the test. GRRRR
Any advice? I guess ill measure a 60x60 foot box and just practice.

sign up for an ERC, in MA you can get your license after succesfully completing it. You'll learn more and it's only a one day deal and much cheaper than the BRC
budget for a bike: $9000.
budget to learn to ride: $0.
learning the hard way: priceless
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
