Check out a harbor freight lift. You see ads in some magazines for a $299 lift. At the store in braintree it says $479

I was just at the store in Braintree and this was $479 http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ift-68892.html. And no loading dock and fork truck needed.

I really would like a bit better quality than HF. I usually buy tools that are overkill as a habit. I don't want any worries when I have one of my Bikes up on it.

The quality thing is what keeps me from buying one also...Ive looked @ them in the store and i never get a good feeling about putting my bike on one.

I had this discussion on a Ducati forum and everyone said the hf lift was a quality lift for the money. I agree all the tools in the store are junk. But a hydraulic lift isn't the most complicated piece of machinery. It's steel with a pump jack. There is a lock just incase the hydraulic failed. But I know a few people who have left there very expensive bikes on the lift with out the lock for months at a time with no fail.
Ian not sure if they have made the adapter plates for other bikes yet but this stand is pretty sick.

I am not a fan of the wheel clamps. But the hf lift has tons of room to use the normal bike stands.

I have that stand-at least the original version (Bursig). Not cheap by any means but I can do anything with it including spinning the bike 360 on the spot.

Yeah the bursig is awesome as well. I think there more money than the moto one. I wish it raised the bike higher. It's still a little low when working on a bike.

Yeah if I'd known about the Moto One I might have saved a few bucks, although it does not look like they make my model. I actually only get about 3" off the ground for the tires, it's decent for me to use I just sit on a small foot stool.
