    Motorcycle loading ramps

I need to get a pair of ramps, I've actually never used them, always loaded my bike onto a trailer that had a drop down gate that doubled as a ramp.

My question is, are they any special considerations for use with a van? Aren't there usually some kind of anchoring/securing thingys that attach to the rear gate of a truck?

    Re: Motorcycle loading ramps

Ive never fastened any ramp down and never had a problem. I'm pretty sure I saw some decent ramps at lowes last time I was there. The way I do it is I have 2 ramps i walk up one and drive the bike up the other one.

Search is your best friend. There's been NUMEROUS threads about ramps. That being said, ebay - ramp king is where I gots mine. Cheapest, but good quality. 3 seasons, no probs. I ALWAYS strap my ramps to my hitch. Having a bedliner, that shit kicks outs easily!

    Re: Motorcycle loading ramps

You a cheapskate like me? I built half of this ramp:

    http://www.bikercamps.com/diy-motorcycle-ramp

I only needed half the ramp as my 'strom isn't that wide and I was comfortable loading on my low trailer with a narrow ramp. I got the hardware for the nose of the ramp from Lowe's.

Only used it once-to get the bike home-but it worked just fine. Only thing slightly wrong is I made it just a CH too long and it doesn't fit flat in the trailer with the tail-gate in place. Other than that.
