    Motorcycle Magazines

My Magazines are running out... Need to re subscribe.

I was thinking of getting a new one. Currently I get Sport Rider and Cycle World (Mainly for Egans Column). I used to get Motorcyclist too but it basically rehashes the same stuff as Cycle World.

Any suggestions? Superbike, Roadracer X, Roadracing world?

What should I be reading? What are you reading? What do you like and why?

    Keep it bike specific.

FWIW I also get the AMA mag.

    Discuss.

It's a bit pricey ($65 a year), but I like Bike Magazine from the UK.

I get RoadracerX and Roadracing World...the latter has the most comprehensive racing coverage and there isn't duplication between the two. Get both. Of course, if you are like me, you'll be constantly behind with a wife yelling at you about all the motorcycle magazines piling up. I also get Cycle World and SportRider. No Motorcyclist for the same reason.

Don't think Rider was mentioned. I like it. Geared more towards logging some miles on the bike/motorcycle travel.

The English based magazine called "TWO" is a great publication as well.

Alan at MM told me about it. Good read and articles

    Motorcycle Magazines

I had a "year" subscription to RoadRacer X that ran out two months ago. It was a Christmas gift. Not sure how that works.....

Dissappointed. Not one mention of any riding skills, true product testing, etc etc. Just "hey, look at these 10 guys, lets talk about them". Reminds me of NASCAR.

I got into racing to do it myself, not to oogle what everyone else does.

Rider will be getting renewed for me. I like their interesting non-typical riding articles. The writing is good. The guy with the beret (Clement Salvadore?) is my wanna-be-retirement-me. Articles about motorcycle camping, doing things the smart/cheap way, etc are useful to me. Reading about how the newest 600's are fast could make me care less. Yes, they test new bikes, but all sorts of bikes, not just one genre.

So to sum it up, for me,

    Rider +

    RoadracerX -

I got MCN a while ago and enjoyed it, but if I recall correctly, there are ads of some sort. Writing and articles are top notch and seem to be unbiased. Downside is the cost.
