You'll pay a bit of a premium, but you simply can't beat the professionalism, peace of mind, security (insured), door-to-door transport from JC Motors.

I've had good luck with uship.

Shipped a motard in a crate from cali and my r6 in a trailer from Pittsburgh. Both times used uship.

uShip can be hit and miss. Have had great experiences, also have had many bids well over what JC Motors would cost.... shop around fo sho.

Re: motorcycle shippers you've used (CA-MA)

JC Motors comes in around $100 more than Uship but just as Scottie said, it looks worth it for the piece of mind.

Thanks guys, I'd budgeted $1K in my head and both options come in under so it's all good.

I can't wait to show you what's in the mail.

Thanks, that was the first shipper I found this am. How'd they transport it? Crate or did they just toss it in a trailer and tie it down?

All I gotta say is, every time I or a friend have used JCM there were zero issues. Nothing. Some places won't pack it quite right, some are hesitant if there's any gas in the tank, etc. I think a couple hundred bux of peace of mind is worth it if you've decided to bring something back from the west coast, and their quote includes a healthy dose of insurance.

Ive used keyboard shippers twice. They have motorcycle specific pallets with wheel chocks built into the pallets. The bike is very securely strapped and shipped. The cost may be more than what was mentioned above though....

It's looking like $500-$800 is the operating range for CA-MA.

They put it on a pallet and moved around on a forklift...went in an 18 wheeler

I was there when they loaded it...I helped the clearly inexperienced loader how to loop the tie downs

This is who we primarily use at the shop. No issues that I've heard of since we started with them, and we ship a pretty ridiculous amount of bikes out.

Re: motorcycle shippers you've used (CA-MA)

Final thoughts - 100% worth a few extra pennies to use Scottie's recommendation (JC Motors). They picked up promptly, delivered quickly and there were no issues. Zero stress.

    Thanks, Scottie.
