motorcycle tow options

    Question motorcycle tow options

Good evening and thank you for accepting me! Woke up to find a flat rear tire on my VFR; called AMA but learned that my membership had lapsed because my debit card had expired so no coverage. I asked the nice lady at AMA for a referral but she said that all she'd do would be to google motorcycle towing so I figured I could do that on my own. Unfortunately, no great results. Plus, rather than cold-calling a bunch of tow companies I thought that perhaps I could find some actual references on a forum. So, if anyone can recommend (or not!) a tow/flatbed service that is reliable I would greatly appreciate any info. Had a couple unpleasant experiences years ago and do not want to revisit that, so again if you have experience with a good company I'd love to get their details. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to any posts!

    David

Apologies for not being able to help find a tow, but I wondered whether you've ruled out a plug kit and bicycle pump to get it back on the road temporarily.

Oh, such a beautiful tarmac. Look how smooth it is. See how smooth it is? And it's warm, and it's hard. - Charley Boorman, Long Way Round

Do you have ramps? I could pick it up and drop it off for you this week. I work in East Hartford so it's only a few minutes out of my way.

Any reason you can't put the bike on a stand and just remove the tire?

If that vfr has a centerstand you can remove either tire easily.
