    Torque Wrenches.....

I am in love with Eric Baker's torque wrench. (Sorry Eric, I can't stop thinking about it) It really is the most awesome tool evah..... I believe it is a Snap-on, digital, can switch from nm to ft/lbs etc.... and beeps then buzzes when torque is reached...

I think I must have one of my very own.... Any good deals out there or alternatives for less $ that are still the epitome of awesomeness?

yeah i paid 80 for mine, its the cheapo, but has never not worked properly

IMHO unless you intend to use this tool to make money there is no reason to buy anything more than what is necessary to get you buy when it comes to tools...

with that said i can remember a time when i would go to the craftsman store twice a week just to spend money....

So, you guys will drop $1,000 on a carbon fiber exhaust, but can't spend the money to buy a torque wrench to make sure it's on right?

    fuck torque wrenches

I call chuck norris and the bolts tighten themselves when they hear his voice on the phone.

I heard you can do the same thing calling tricky mike, but i dont know him that well.

Torque wrench envy? Or would it be torque wrench insecurity?

I have a torque wrench, hell I got 2 but I certainly didn't pay that kinda money for them. I'm sure people will spend that kinda cake, drop it and not get it recalibrated so it's actually worse than the cheap one.

PS I wouldn't torque a single bolt on an exhaust anyway.

Get some CDI torque wrenches. Identical internals as Snap-On, less pricey and easily calibrated.

Trouble with digitals is that they are nearly impossible to use in the sun/outside and add in the track noise and you cannot hear it beep.
