me too. I only went with the 5100 because 300v is so damn expensive and I'm not looking for 1-3more hp.

I prefer the Motul 5100 semi-synth which I love (it's crystal clear), but I am contemplating moving to the 7100 full-synth for the 1098.
We can get different oils for people, but we only stock Motul.
all the 5100 I've run has been a nice clear goldish/brown color with a hint of green (from the esther).

I had to look up the 7100. on the motul website it says its 100% synthetic but on the bottle it says "esther blend." I know that 300v is a fully synthetic esther but if the 7100 is a blend doesn't that make it a semi-synth? I'm confused. how much are you guys charging per quart for 5100 and 7100?

and its got that cool green color that makes people who don't know any better think you put coolant in instead of oil.

I was going to mention that, but unfortunately it really doesn't. At least in the few years I have been using it, no. If you pull the top of the litre up and get some oil on the pull out spout, it sure does look green. Pull the spout all the way out and dump it upside down and it looks brownish yellowish. And it's quite brown in the sight glass on the case cover. So not worth the $17 a litre.

Naw screw it, it's good stuff

looks green here and here and I remember a picture just like that first one on another forum where it looked just like that. but I don't run it myself so maybe they changed it a little.

Silkolene makes a product called FST, a fuel system conditioner that is supose to help with carb icing, but they don't export it to the US

for some reason manufacturers think carb icing is a problem exclusive to the British Isle,

not sure what SF/SJ rated is.

i've been suggested by various mechanics to switch to a semi-synthetic blend after X amount of miles, as the oil wont break down as quickly on higher mile engines. if you're curious on what my street bike is, it's an 02 GSXR 600.

I choose not to say what that mileage is, because I know it will bring up a shitshorm of people claiming they have 286,000 miles on their bike and still use regular oil.

I've been quite pleased with the oil change kit's I've got from Ted. I could care less what it says on the bottle, so long as I get pies baked for me by Mrs. Duncanmoto.

I have no complaints with Motul. I can get it a 1/4 mile from my house which is nice.

Only if it has friction reducers

Look for the following labels on the bottle. This one is bad

This one is good (as far as friction reducers)

when you put it in a measuring cup it really looks like cooking oil. I hope that doesn't make it into a pie.

AHA! I will be reporting Ted to the FTC for employing unfair trade practices!

That is how he is stealing the customers from the competition.

    No fair, no pie.
