848 Evo

848 evo
So Ducati finally decided to make an 848 with a steering damper and monoblocks
Besides that they bumped the compression ratio from 12:1 to 13.2:1 giving the 848evo 140hp @ 10,500rpm and 72.3ftlbs @ 9,750rpm. This years 848 puts out 134hp @ 10,000rpm and 70.8ftlbs @ 8,250rpm. The only other thing I could find Ducati changed was the extra lamda probe on the exhaust, Euro3 spec.
It comes it two colors, red with a red frame and "Dark Steath" matte black with a black frame. MSRP starts at $12,995 (probably for the "Dark Stealth")

dark one really looks stealth, some red rim tape would be great on those imho

dunno how the stock dampers compare to the aftermarket ones??

and for a novice like me, cant tell difference between brakes either, but, they all sound too cool, lol

The '10 848 Dark is sweet, but the EVO takes it to a whole new level of "darkness"...like a motorcycle Darth Vader would ride. Do Want.

The nice thing isn't that it has a damper per se, as stock units aren't that great, but it has the frame mount for it so you can just bolt whatever you need right on! Kick aysss!

As much as I like the S1000RR, if I have that kinda money for a street bike, the 848 EVO will probably what I will be getting. However, there is no way I am paying a crazy 1K upcharge for color.
